Emergency Water Extraction
Our procees to extract water is to remove as much water as possible. It can be done on carpets and bare floors alike. This is done with our specialized extraction equipment.
Carpet is lifted to see what type of flooring is underneath. Carpet is checked for delamination, vivible signs of mold and mildew, etc. In some cases, carpet will need to be removed.
Carpet pad acts like a sponge and will hold water. If the pad has been exposed to excess water, it is necessary to remove it to protect the subflooring and speed up the drying process.
Any refuse items will be removed and disposed of properly.
Special drying equipment is used to dry your home. The purpose of this equipment is to remove moisture and bring the relative humidity levels back to normal. It is very important to keep the equipment running, unless a safety issues arises. Excessive amounts of moisture can still be present, even whaen the visible surfaces appear to be dry. This can cause mold growth or other damage. We will monitor the moisture in the wet materials to be sure it is dry.
The furniture will be moved and blocked, we do this to protect carpet and furnishings within the affected area.
